Department of Transitional Assistance

Using a holistic approach, our Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) team of Employment Consultants strive to assist each participant and their household to realize their potential, increase their confidence, and become self-sufficient. neba has collaborated with DTA since 2007 and has been regarded as one of the top providers in assistance participants with obtaining employment for over a decade.

neba’s workshops run Monday through Friday from 9:00 – 3:00 at both our Worcester and Springfield locations.  Services are offered in-person, virtually, and in a hybrid model in both English and Spanish.

HOW CAN I START
In order to obtain a referral, an individual needs to speak with their DTA case worker, walk into one of our offices listed below or attend a DTA orientation to ensure you qualify and NEBA is the appropriate referral for your needs. Individuals will need to have an open cash case and/or be the non-custodial parent of a child who receives TAFDC with DTA in order to obtain a referral to NEBA. Once you receive a referral, you will be connected with a NEBA Employment Consultant.

HOW DOES NEBA HELP?
NEBA works with each individual to realize their potential, relieve their fears and increase their confidence. Our Career Ladders curriculum which is currently offered virtually and in person, will give you the tools you need to obtain and maintain employment. Our Career Ladders is currently offered in English and Spanish.
