Ticket to Work

Ticket to Work is a program of the Social Security Administration (SSA) and available to all individuals between the ages of 18 – 60 receiving either SSDI or SSI disability income. 

The TTW program encourages ticketholders to return to the workforce. Assistance is provided by certified Employment Networks (EN) and is free to qualified Ticketholders. The goal of Ticket to Work is to promote full employment and income self-sufficiency. neba offers two models of support to the ticketholders we coach, career search and placement services and self-employment, business plan development and support.

Looking for a career with a business in the community? neba is a certified EN and assists people across the United States in developing presentation skills to obtain employment in their field of expertise. Areas of focus include:
  • resume development 
  • personalized interview skills 
  • job search assistance
  • ongoing employment supports as needed.

Looking to start your own business? People seeking support in starting their own business, writing a business plan and business implementation support can use their Ticket to Work with neba's business development program. Initial interview will explore the feasibility of the Ticket holder’s business idea. Subsequent sessions develop the financial information related to growing the business and the marketing strategies necessary to develop a customer or client base.
