About Us

Picture
At neba, we empower people with disabilities and other barriers who have been historically marginalized, to be fully included in their communities through employment. We actively work towards ending social injustice through strategic work with employment agencies and businesses looking to expand their workforce. We take great care in working with individuals and identifying their areas of employment interest through vocational assessments, training, and job exploration to assure we are working towards finding the best employment match for their career interests and skillsets. Our communities become stronger when everyone is able to participate.

Established in 1983, neba is a 501(c)3 organization.

Why neba?

  • To watch someone achieve their dreams that they, nor their caregivers, ever thought were possible.
  • To witness people who come to us non-verbal and find their voice and begin to speak.
  • To see someone develop friendships and have social experiences, outside of someone paid.
  • To observe the light in someone’s eyes when they feel they are being acknowledge and valued.
  • To hear from a father who was in tears that his child was acknowledged as a human and as an individual or the first time ever after entering our services.
  • To know a mother is able to sleep in her own home with her children because she gained employment through our services and was able to move out of a shelter.
  • To hear how your work brought someone from not leaving his room to being a highly valued employee in his dream job.
  • To have other organizations from across the nation reaching out wanting to partner with and/or replicate our services.
  • To come to work every day and know that what we do will positively impact the lives of so many.
This is why we do what we do.
