Learn to Earn provides training, certification and placement in high demand careers.  Two certification programs are currently offered and as other high demand industries are identified, additional opportunities will be made available.

Learn to Earn Manufacturing - Manufacturing jobs are quickly becoming a focus in southern New England and nationwide. People want manufacturing jobs brought back into the United States. The need for qualified employees to fill positions in the manufacturing industry is becoming critical. In many areas of the United States, upwards of 35% of current manufacturing jobs will become vacant due to retirement by 2022.

The goal of Learn to Earn is to place candidates in manufacturing positions that will allow them to earn a sustain-able income, eliminate the need for public assistance, and foster growth and future promotions in the field.

Participants who qualify will receive the following:
  • MACWIC Manufacturing Training
  • OSHA Training
  • Fundamentals of Lean Manufacturing
  • Job Readiness Training
  • Resume Development
  • Interview Training
  • Soft Skills Training
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Workplace Culture Training
  • Financial Planning
  • Employment Support as Needed

After placement, employees and employers will be given access to Tooling U-SME, which is a customized online platform with over 800 manufacturing courses, allowing employers to identify and customize specific training’s for participants.

Learn To Earn IT Help Desk and Security will be coming soon.
