Alli Smale is a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges and has worked in Disability Employment Supports and Workforce Development for over 22 years, helping youth and adults attain their career goals while supporting them to develop their own identity in their community, as well as self-advocacy and leadership skills. Currently, she works for neba as their Program Director in Connecticut. Alli enjoys developing new strategies for assisting people to build social capital and full participation in their communities. She has recently presented on transition topics and social capital building at the National APSE conference, the International Project SEARCH conference, the PA Conference on Transition, and the Alliance DSP conference. She is a graduate of the National Leadership Consortium at the University of Delaware and is a Certified Employment Support Professional. Alli completed her Masters in Community Based Education & Leadership at Stevenson University and has developed a regional time bank called the Good Neighbors Time Bank. In her free time Alli enjoys good food with friends and family, reading, crochet, and developing community everywhere.
