The Springfield/Westfield Team is committed to empowering the people we serve through the goal of employment. The team believes that every individual has something that they can contribute to the workplace. As the name implies, we principally (although not exclusively) operate in the Springfield-Westfield metropolitan regions. We strive to develop jobs and positions that match an individual’s gifts and talents. This is accomplished through various practices. The Springfield/Westfield team utilizes facilitators to perform Individual Service Designs, which are biographies or life histories. The individual and the people important in their lives gather to discuss and strategize what would help make the individual success and better become a contributing member of society.
The team also utilizes job tours and job samples to match people up with possible employers. The team has been successful in getting people employed at various places within our region. Some of the more recognizable places are Friendly’s Restaurant, Ring Nursing Home, Affordable Auto Glass, Six Flags, Western New England College and Northampton Honda.

The team is very active in the surrounding community. We take part in several of the local chambers of commerce and participate in local job fairs.
We are
very active in the lives of the people we serve even after employment has been
secured. The team strives to assist in
establishing natural working relationships for the people we serve and their
co-workers. The team also spends a
great deal of time preparing the individual for employment by practicing
interviewing skills, conducting resume workshops and how to interact with
co-workers and managers.
