Higher education is an important factor in successful employment. However, college is not presented as a viable option for many high school students with disabilities.

NEBA’s “On Our Way” program is uniquely designed to provide young adults with disabilities ongoing educational support and access to a real college experience.  Post-secondary education provides an avenue to academic advancement, as well as enriching experiences that boost self-esteem and confidence and improve social skills.

Typical participants of this program are individuals of college age from area school systems and young adults entering the adult service system.  All participants receive one-on-one instruction from qualified staff with college interns assisting. Program participants are surrounded by Springfield College students who act as mentors and coaches, and are encouraged to participate in on-campus college activities.

The On Our Way program is located on the campus of Springfield College. For more information, contact Breanna McKinney  at 413-821-9200 ext. 107 or Breanna.McKinney@nebaworks.com.
